Monday 6th July 2009



I went into Stornoway this morning. This was a photo I took of a couple of oildrums floating in the inner harbour.

  1. terrible - just terrible!!! not the photo - the fact that those oil drums are in the water - they don't belong there gosh darn it.

  2. I assume they are there intentionally. I think they are chained to the bottom for people to moor boats to.

  3. Odd. Where were they? The Harbour Commission have proper anchorages for yachts. Having hung over the side with a boathook to haul the buoy and hoop aboard to tie the yacht to it I'm not sure that these would perform. They look to be in shallow water too.
