I went to the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum in Birkenhead. One of the best pieces of historical significance is ouitside rather thsn inside - this 1856 fluted letter box with a vertical slot and a door at the rear.

This photo really made me smile -- I love the old post boxes! Particularly the ones tucked into walls and hedges. I was always fascinated that anyone from the GPO could find them. Good job, Scriptor.
