I took a bus ride to West Kirby but only had the briefest of walks. This was taken from the bus as we went through Caldy.

I went to Burton today and had a walk around, visiting the church of St Nicholas with its many items of interest.

Heather asked what Satsuma was when I mentioned it on some of the things that make me happy. his is a Satsuma - it is a small, sweet orange-like fruit which peels easily and has no pips. A traditional fruit at Christmas-time but now found much of the year.

Although daffodils are the principal flowers carpeting Arrowe Park at the moment it was this Spring Snowflake (Leucojum vernum) that attracted my attention.

The frogs which were croaking earlier in the week have attracted mates and our first frogspawn has appeared in the waterfall pond.

We bought this garden variety of Lesser Celandine (Ranunculus ficaria) last year and it looks lovely under the Lilac tree which is just now coming into leafbud.

One of our neighbours has been decorating the outside of their house this week. I've never quite decided whether I like things like this on house wallls but at least they are photogenic.

I had my first real walk since the operation. Although satisfying it didn't really give me much to photograph. This distamt Rook was one of the few things moving under the cloudy sky.
