Heather asked what Satsuma was when I mentioned it on some of the things that make me happy.  his is a Satsuma - it is a small, sweet orange-like fruit which peels easily and has no pips.  A traditional fruit at Christmas-time but now found much of the year.

  1. It looks very similar to what we call clementines or tangerines. YUMMY :)

  2. Are you saying that all satsumas peel easily? We've had some really difficult (to peel) fruit recently. I wonder if they were clementines.

  3. Yes Helen, all Satsumas should be easy to peel. Sometimes I have seen Mandarins, Clementines, and Tangerines sold as Satsumas.

  4. Oooooooo! I love fruity pics! I have to peel the majority of pith off too. I can take forever over that!
