Time and tide, Doreen! Heswall lost it's easy access to the sea (and it's fishing industry, as the River Dee silted up. Some well-maintained boats are still kept there and have access down a narrow channel but there are a lot of old abandoned boats along the 'shore'.
There is a roundabout in our town that displays a boat wreck. The local college art kids made it as their main project and it's very realistic, less the water of course!

You may have heard of Project 365 in whic people post a photograph every day for a year. This is my version – the idea is to post a photo taken every day but I am realistic enough to know that there will be a day or two missed during the year.
I see there are more than one boat like that. what happened?
